The Best Meatloaf I’ve Ever Made
Now don’t get intimidated by the longer list of ingredients – you’ll find them in a standard kitchen pantry! In a large bowl, add the following:
- 1 pound minced beef
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (or if you’d like a creamier texture, use 1 can cream of onion and 1 can cream of mushroom)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup quick oats
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg
Mix it all up with your hands – you’re going to want a nice uniform mixture, as all the ingredients need to be equally distributed throughout the mix. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a greased baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. When 40 minutes is up, your meatloaf should be golden brown on top and the juices should be running clear set aside.

For some extra flavor and heightened presentation, we’ve also started adding something on top of the meatloaf: bacon! Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Take 5 slices of bacon and lay them on top of the meatloaf before you bake it, trying to cover as much of the loaf as possible. You’ll need to bake it for another 10 minutes before it’s done.
You can now enjoy one of the tastiest dishes around – a classic Meatloaf with bacon. Serve with a side of mashed potatoes or a green salad and you’ll have a hearty meal to feed your family!
