  6. Fold the other side over the jam-covered half of the dough. Use a fork to press the edges together and crimp the sides. Cut into 1-inch-wide pieces.
  7. Place on prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack.

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  2. Add the oil, honey, flaxseed, sugar and molasses and mix until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the almond or cashew milk, stirring until no lumps remain.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each portion into a 10×12-inch rectangle.
  7. Spread ½ cup of the fig jam onto one rectangle and place the other rectangle on top.
  8. Use a fork to press together the edges and crimp the sides.
  9. Cut the bars into 1-inch wide pieces. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden. Allow the bars to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
